Today, after hearing a news, I was a bit worried. (Detail ignored, haha, as I’m better now.)
I talked to Mark, got the reality side.. lol~ To be honest, I think what he said is right, and I need to make myself prepare for that.
Then, I talked to Sholeh, and got the cheering side. XD I guess I need to stay confident, and be clear what I’m good at. Just keep up the good work!
Thanks to Mark and Sholeh for the comfort tonight!! Feeling a lot better now.

When i was walking in Metrotown today, a little boy and his mom were walking toward me.
I heard the boy asked his mom for ice cream, but his mom said:” it’s not the time for ice cream yet.”
I stopped when I heard that, because they were right in front of me, and i had this huge Purdy’s ice cream bar in my hand………………
I seems heard the little boy said: “Why can she have ice cream?” lol~

Today was my first day doing my internship at Raincity Studios.
It’s pretty cool, and my first time actually working in an office with co-workers. We use Skype to communicate and pass on links, along with emails and couple other systems.
Because I know both Mandarin and English, I did a Quality Assurance test on Bryght.com, where I signed up for couple Drupal sites, and checked content for typos and bugs. Then, I researched about Google Map module on Drupal, and since I’m a newbie to Drupal, more reading of course is required.
I actually set up my Skype account long time ago; however, today was the first time I actually use it for work. I love food, and I was very happy to find out that people in the office also share the same interest.
Everything is new and exciting, and let’s just keep rolling! =D

Finally, the first meetings for the 6 committees are done. After gone through the meetings, I feel a little relaxed after seeing at least some other ones care as much as I do. I’m very glad that maybe the working team is not that big, the team’s good. ^^ Selected the heads for each committee, and happy that all of them will work hard together.
Have been sleeping 4 hours a day this week to get everything done on time. With so many things in hand right now, I have to prioritize the tasks.
The reason I love event organization is that I like to see my team work together, and the success is not owned by a single person. Even though, haha, this is just at the beginning, I am still touched by the others who are willing to put their time and effort to help.
I was the only one in the program who was soo enthusiastic about this event, even when facing lack of support from the school. I just think, this is our event, and I want it to look good.
Yep, thank you all… especially to the ones in my group! *hugs* ^^

Last Friday, we discussed Drupal in class. I heard about Drupal before; however, I had no initiative to start something brand new, considering I have PHP & MySQL, and couple websites to do.
Therefore, when we got an assignment saying that we need to research a website that is built by Drupal, I finally put Drupal into my cPanel, and watched Youtube video whole night to install it.
Right now, I am looking at customization on Drupal, hopefully I can make a nice blog site out of it, so part of my portfolio site would be done.

Even though I started to build my portfolio site about 3 weeks ago, I still have not finished the whole site. Utilizing all the skills I learned in New Media Design & Web Development, applying the new skills I learn every day, sometimes I find myself knowing new ways of making my portfolio site better.
Currently, I’m quite involved in a few group projects and event planning. Our Industry Night is coming this October, and I volunteered to represent our program in the Digital Art Department. Working with others can be both fun and stressing; however, as long as we’re a team, we need trust to work together.
We are in our Term 4 right now, and I am looking for a practicum opportunity. I’ve been looking, and today I will get my resume and a few cover letter done. Start applying tomorrow.
It’s funny that this term we have the fewest courses, but my mind is still running like crazy.
Good morning, and ganbate! =)
